While the Ford Bronco's development went smoothly and predictions of its eventual runaway success seem on their way to being proven accurate based on current demand, problems cropped up once the Bronco reached its final production phases. So far, Ford has experienced several unexpected setbacks from the global pandemic, problems with its supplier of Bronco hard tops and -- most recently --  a shortage of computer chips, all of which pushed the model's production date further into the future.
